Adventure Awaits At Chippawa
Chippawa Creek offers many opportunities and experiences, whether making a day trip, camping for a weekend, or staying in an RV for the entire season. Tucked away in the Niagara Peninsula, there is a wide variety of activities for everyone to enjoy. As a conservation area, there are trails to hike and forests to explore. Take the 1.1 km walk or bike-ride around Dils Lake, enjoying the boardwalks, fishing piers, and scenery along the way. The hiking trails are wheelchair accessible.

Dils Lake: Fishing, Boating, Beaches & Boardwalks
Visitors are welcome to bring their own non-motorized boats, but they are also available to rent. Savour the peace and quiet of the lake or take your fishing rod and try your luck. Bait worms are available at the on-site convenience store located at the front entrance. There are also piers around the lake from which to fish at.
Enjoy long days at the beach, swimming in the lake and playing in the sand. Bring your lunch and eat at one of the many picnic tables in the shade by the beach. A washroom and changeroom facility is located next to the beach area.
Boating and swimming on Dils Lake are popular summer activites.
Camping & Campground Amenities
There are 156 campsites at Chippawa Creek, ranging from non-serviced to 15-Amp and 30-Amp serviced sites. The park also offers a dump station and garbage/recycling drop off. Campsites are quite large, each equipped with its own picnic table, fire pit and parking for 2 vehicles. Firewood and bags of ice also available at the on-site store. Many sites are conveniently located close to the lake.

The kids will love the large playground set up across the road from the beach. Located next to the playground is a beach volleyball court. The same area has a large amount of green space – lots of room for sports and games.
Pets are also welcome at Chippawa Creek. They must be kept on a leash and are not permitted on the beach area.
A washroom and shower facility is located in the area of the campsites that are located close to the lake. A newly constructed comfort station (2014) has also been added to the park to accommodate the campsites that are set further away. These facilities are all wheelchair accessible.
Events & Special Occasions
The park coordinates events from time to time. Staff members organize games such as Capture the Flag and scavenger hunts for the kids, beach volleyball for the adults, and are all free for everyone to join in. They also offer sand castle competitions and an annual fishing derby. Evening events are sometimes organized as well. Karaoke and family-friendly movies are occasionally set up at the pavilion for anyone that would like to attend.
Always At Hand
The staff at Chippawa Creek are friendly and helpful and there is always someone available at the desk in the on-site store at the front entrance. While you're there, grab a frozen treat! The store also conveniently stocks items that you may run out of or forgot to bring, such as toiletries, bug spray, sunscreen, etc.
