Big News in a Tiny Trailer! Under 2,000 Pounds
Jayco's new Hummingbird 10RK is a tiny trailer designed to fit the demand for small, light-weight trailers that are towable behind something like a Jeep Wrangler with a towing capacity of around 2,000 pounds. Previously, if someone wanted a trailer like this but were not interested in a camping trailer, there were no options available.
Another key point to the 10RK is the low clearance. At only 90 inches in height to the top of the TV antenna, you can store the trailer in your garage with an 8 foot or higher door. The lightweight and single axle make maneuvring the trailer by hand a pretty easy task too!
Construction & Design
Hummingbirds all feature fiberglass vacuum-bonded construction in their sidewalls and roofs. The roofs are also one-piece and seamless. The trailer underbody is enclosed and this helps provide less drag and offers protection for wiring, holding tanks, etc. This all rides on 15-inch nitrogen-filled Goodyear Endurance radial mudder tires with self-adjusting electric brakes.
Features
Our first Hummingbird 10RK arrived with all the standard equipment including power tongue jack, 2 stabilizer jacks, detachable 30 amp power cord, aluminum wheels, spare tire and carrier, tinted safety glass windows, Fantastic power roof vent, and 24-inch 2-way 12V DC/120V AC LED TV. We have included the optional side-mounted 8K BTU air conditioner and exterior grill.
The 10RK also is prepped to accommodate roof solar panels and A-frame mounted bike racks.
