RV Camping in Fall 2020

Publish Date: Sep 15, 2020 Author: Ashley Rego Category: Tips

On Monday, September 14, 2020, The Weather Network (theweathernetwork.com) reported Canada's 2020 Fall forecast and exclusive winter preview.

"While it is true that fall weather has arrived ahead of schedule (with the exception of B.C. and parts of Atlantic Canada), we are not in a free fall into winter. We expect that October and November will feature extended periods of mild fall wether and a delay in the arrival of consistent winter weather across most of the country." - The Weather Network

It's looking like the mild weather will be with us into October and November which is great news for those who are looking to getaway in the Fall. With the continued closure of the U.S. and Canadian borders, those who were expecting to vacation before the pandemic will be looking for something else to do this Fall. So why not Fall RV camping? Here are some great reasons to consider RV camping this Fall!

The Colours

Fall foliage is nature's way of making us smile. As the fall season approaches, the summer blooms begin to fade and leaves start to sprinkle the ground in pretty reds, yellows, orange and browns.

The Weather

Who doesn't love walking outside and filling your lungs with crisp morning air? With proper layering, Fall can be very enjoyable. The cooler temperatures mean indulging in your favourite comfort foods and snuggling up in your fleece sweater in front of a warm campfire.

The Campgrounds

Once Summer winds down and kids head back to school, you'll find it's easier to book a campsite and snag a prime location. You'll also notice campgrounds will be generally pretty quiet as the summer season fades. You may even find reduced prices at some parks.

The Bugs

Goodbye mosquitos - you will not be missed! RV camping in the fall means you can say bye to the bug spray! You can relax knowing you can sit outside without being attacked by those pesky bugs!

The Campfires

The return of cooler temperatures and damp weather means fire bans lifted in many areas. If you didn't get a chance to enjoy a campfire this summer - now's your chance!
